Born in Detroit, MI to Bishop Nathaniel Edwards Sr. and First Lady Diane, Donna was trained to grab the reigns and inspire the crowd from an early age. Her sound was cultivated within the walls of her father’s church.

She brings sounds of restoration, reconciliation and revival to the hearts and minds of many. Coming of age in Lansing, MI, she was able to hone her skills by focusing on a diverse range of genres.

Many people say she sounds much like Lalah Hathaway. She has went from winning ‘outstanding vocalist’ at Jazz festivals to performing with Aretha Franklin, Aaron Neville, Tramaine Hawkins, Barry Manilow, Roberta Flack, Patti Austin, Love Jones, Mimi Redd, William Murphy, Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne, Chris & Company and many others.

Donna has also been a session vocalist, recorded jingles and sung background in many choirs over the years.

Donna has taken The Fundamentals of Acting and Scene Study classes at The Actor’s Loft in Royal Oak and attended an advanced acting scene study class with Shiek Mahmud-Bey. She played Ms.York and was an associate producer on “Intelligent Design”, a 48 hour film project performed in 2017. She also cast as Mrs. Amelia in “Everything” and the secretary in “Pushed.” She has also been an extra in several films.

Donna is also a model. She was a runway model in Detroit Rocks the Runway at the 35th African World Festival August 19, 2017. She was also a Runway model at Poshduex September, 2017 and a Runway model for Grid Fashion Show and The Fuller Woman Expo.

She is very versatile and easy to work with.
